Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alphonso Crane (ranked 8529 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dorian Walker (ranked 5999 p4p, 0 weight class). Dorian Walker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alphonso Crane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dorian Walker!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Walker or perhaps it was just good defense by Crane, which made it look bad.
Crane misses with a wild combination.
Crane really is a fat lump.

Walker takes the fight into the clinch.
Crane's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Walker goes for a takedown in the clinch but Crane prevents it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Come on Walker - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Walker wants a takedown but no success here.
Alphonso Crane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dorian Walker.
Crane trying to stall but Walker improves his position.
Walker goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Crane tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Walker's elbow.
Crane is pressed up against the cage. Walker has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Crane down to the mat. Crane avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Crane looks to land a left hand but Walker moved out of range nicely.
Crane shoots in for a takedown but Walker shows good takedown defense.
Walker displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Crane.
Walker looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Crane is fending him off so far but Walker persists. Nope, Crane circles away and we're back to standing.

Walker instigates a clinch.
Walker lands a body shot in the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Walker tries to pull guard but Crane won't allow it.
Crane tries to break free but Walker pushes him back against the cage.

Walker manages to break the clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Walker is defended easily by Crane.
Walker punishes Crane's body with a nice straight punch.

Walker has Crane up against the cage in a clinch.
Crane looking to stall.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Walker jumps guard but Crane stands there with Walker around his waist. Walker gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Walker jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Crane walks away with a smile on his face. Walker gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Crane shoots in looking for a takedown. Walker tries to sprawl out of it but Crane keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Walker manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Crane misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Crane defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Walker.

Crane gets caught napping as Walker dives in and scores a takedown. Crane manages to retain guard.

Crane pushes Walker off and gets back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Crane feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Walker wants to sweep but no luck.
Walker controls Crane momentarily but Crane frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Walker looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Crane working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Walker throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Walker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Crane gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Alphonso Crane will probably get the nod.
That's time! Crane's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Walker misses with a takedown attempt - Crane sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Crane is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Walker.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Crane.
Despite the aggression on Walker's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Walker clinches with his opponent.

Walker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Walker tries for a takedown but Crane sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Crane is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Walker breaks the clinch.

Walker drives through and clinches with Crane against the cage.
Crane prevents a takedown attempt there.
Alphonso Crane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dorian Walker.

Walker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Walker closes the distance and clinches up with Crane, looking for a takedown. Walker pushes Crane against the cage but Crane circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Crane shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Crane landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Walker is trying to stand.
Crane thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Walker tries to roll over but Crane keeps him under control.

Crane drops an elbow to the side of Walker's head.
Walker is trying to maintain the position but Crane is very close to passing his half guard.
Walker looks like he's trying to stand up.
Crane is thwarting Walker's attempts to control the position.
Walker is refusing to be controlled, as Crane sits in half guard.
Walker is trying to get back to full guard.
Crane missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Crane not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Crane throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Walker tries to roll over but Crane keeps him under control.
Crane thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Crane drops an elbow to the side of Walker's head.
Crane seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Walker blocking the ground and pound attempt from Crane.
Walker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Crane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Walker wants to get back to full guard.
Walker looks like he's trying to stand up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Dorian Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Walker looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Crane is fending him off so far but Walker persists. Nope, Crane circles away and we're back to standing.

Walker wants to get back to his feet.
Walker is refusing to be controlled, as Crane sits in half guard.
Crane not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Crane trying to control from half guard but Walker is working away.
Crane throwing shots but Walker is blocking nicely.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Walker wants to control but Crane is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Crane sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Walker defending well though.
Walker wants to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alphonso Crane dominated that second round.
That's time! Crane's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Crane changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Walker tries to avoid it but Crane manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Walker to the ground. Walker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Walker throws a head kick that misses.

Walker moves into the clinch.

Walker manages to break the clinch.
A head kick misses from Walker.
Crane throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Walker's waist but Walker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Crane off to one side.
Crane fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alphonso Crane. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Crane doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Walker counters with a straight right hand.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Crane gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Walker counters with a three punch combo that has Crane backing up. Crane nods at Walker to acknowledge the strikes.

Crane defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Walker.
Crane wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Walker has a takedown stuffed.

Walker clinches up against the cage.
Walker jumps guard but Crane turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Walker tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Crane smiles and moves away.
Walker fails to land the takedown.
Walker shoots in looking for a takedown but Crane manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Walker's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Walker.
Walker fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Crane avoids it really well and circles away.
Crane has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.


It looks like Alphonso Crane has been cut.
Crane shoots in for a takedown but Walker shows good takedown defense.
Walker tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Crane defends well and Walker ends up having to push Crane into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Walker throws a sloppy head kick and Crane moves out of range easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Walker has Crane up against the cage in a clinch.

Walker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Crane moves in looking to clinch but Walker pushes him off.
Walker wants to counter with a clinch but Crane pushes him away.
Crane goes for a double leg but Walker avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Walker continues to drive forward.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Walker is trying to pull guard but Crane turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Walker has Crane pushed against the cage.

Walker gets control of Crane's arms and successfully pulls guard. Walker will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Walker throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Crane won't allow Walker to sweep him here.
Crane has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Crane lands a couple of elbows.
Crane stands up over Walker, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Dorian Walker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Crane has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
