Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sloppy Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Peterwhacker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peterwhacker has chosen Bad to the Bone by George Thorogood as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sloppy Joe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Peterwhacker! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joe fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Peterwhacker shoots in but Joe avoids the takedown attempt easily. Peterwhacker misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Peterwhacker punishes Joe's body with a nice straight punch. Peterwhacker throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Peterwhacker doesn't manage to clinch there - Joe circles away.
Peterwhacker misses with a looping left. Peterwhacker takes a swing at Joe's ribcage but misses. Peterwhacker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Joe swats him away and circles back towards the center. Joe doesn't succeed with the takedown so Peterwhacker counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Joe is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Joe wants to sweep but no luck. Peterwhacker avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Peterwhacker not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Peterwhacker wanted to stand there but Joe had control of the position. Peterwhacker scoring with punches to the head and body. Joe trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Joe keeping moving, preventing Peterwhacker from controlling successfully. Peterwhacker slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Peterwhacker working the head and body with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peterwhacker lands some shots froms side control. Peterwhacker has knee on belly and moves into mount. Peterwhacker with the ground and pound from mount. Peterwhacker looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Peterwhacker looks gassed! Joe is working to get back to half guard.
Peterwhacker cracks Joe with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Peterwhacker looking to control but Joe is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Peterwhacker stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Peterwhacker with a lazy takedown attempt and Joe counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Joe. Sloppy Joe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Peterwhacker. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Joe thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Joe drops back looking for a leg! Peterwhacker is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Peterwhacker manages to kick Joe off! Joe jumps back into Peterwhacker's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Joe postures up in Peterwhacker's guard and throws a big left but Peterwhacker blocks it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Peterwhacker throws some shots to the body, keeping his opponent honest.
Peterwhacker has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Joe can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Peterwhacker throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Peterwhacker tries to land a sweep but no joy. Peterwhacker looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Joe chips away with some ground and pound. Peterwhacker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Joe is one step ahead there. Joe distracts Peterwhacker with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Joe scoring with some ground and pound. Joe postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Joe throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Peterwhacker works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Peterwhacker had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Joe is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Peterwhacker Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Joe's back instead. Joe manages to reverse the position and now he's in Peterwhacker's guard. Nice work there by Joe.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Joe won't allow Peterwhacker to sweep him here. Joe chips away with some ground and pound. Peterwhacker lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Joe! Joe regains half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Joe gets back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Peterwhacker dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Peterwhacker throws a front kick that sends Joe stumbling back into the cage. Peterwhacker throws a series of strikes that have Joe backpedaling.
It looks like Sloppy Joe has been cut. Peterwhacker shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Peterwhacker showed some decent athleticism there. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Peterwhacker wants to control but Joe is keeping him busy. Peterwhacker is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Joe actively working from the bottom here. Joe tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Peterwhacker working over Joe with some ground and pound. Joe looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Joe is staying active underneath Peterwhacker, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Joe is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Peterwhacker lands a jab-cross combination. Peterwhacker has managed to clinch.
Peterwhacker has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Joe avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Peterwhacker drops down looking for an ankle pick but Joe pulls his leg out and moves away.
Joe misses with a takedown attempt and Peterwhacker counters with a left to the body. Peterwhacker dips down and scores with a jab to the body. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Joe. Peterwhacker misses with a double jab
and Joe counters by clinching up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peterwhacker gets a trip takedown into half guard. Peterwhacker is keen to just control but Joe is a slippery customer. Joe gets back to full guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Peterwhacker lands a nice short elbow. Peterwhacker is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Joe wants to improve his position but Peterwhacker is controlling well.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Peterwhacker shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Peterwhacker fails with the takedown. Joe misses with a takedown attempt and Peterwhacker connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Joe is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Joe shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Peterwhacker but Peterwhacker pushes him off and we're back to square one. Peterwhacker scores with a one two! Joe had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Peterwhacker has managed to clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peterwhacker jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Joe walks away with a smile on his face. Peterwhacker gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Joe shoots in and drives through. Peterwhacker sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sloppy Joe. That's going to take a lot out of him. Peterwhacker tries for a takedown but Joe circles away easily and Joe counters with a nice double leg into guard. Peterwhacker working for a triangle but Joe defends it easily.

Peterwhacker is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Joe defends it well.

Peterwhacker makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Joe will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Joe is refusing to be controlled, as Peterwhacker sits in half guard. Michael Peterwhacker is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Joe punching from the bottom.
Joe is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Peterwhacker scores with a couple of nice shots. Peterwhacker is taking a breather. Joe says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Joe is not content to let Peterwhacker control the position. Sloppy Joe has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Peterwhacker controlling the action here.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Michael Peterwhacker. I've got Peterwhacker winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
