Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yasuhiro Akagi (ranked 2136 p4p, 288 weight class) and Marlo Stanfield (ranked 1575 p4p, 207 weight class). Akagi's entrance music is Nash the Slash - American Band. A fine choice. Stanfield is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Legendary. This should be fireworks!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

30 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marlo Stanfield!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akagi throws a head kick that misses.
Stanfield lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Akagi circles away quickly and effectively.
Stanfield throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Akagi.
Stanfield throws a shot to the body.
Akagi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Stanfield sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A big left from Akagi misses.
Akagi throws a body kick that misses.
Akagi defending well as Stanfield loads up on a big left hand.
A slow jab from Akagi misses its intended target.
Akagi takes a swing at Stanfield's ribcage but misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Akagi throws a poor cross that misses
and Stanfield counters with a stiff right hand.
Stanfield lands a left and a right that send Akagi crashing to the mat, dazed. Stanfield thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Akagi is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Akagi throws a right and a left that both miss.
Oh Akagi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Akagi throws a good cross that connects.
Akagi seems to have got his legs back now.
Stanfield throws a right and a left that Akagi avoids nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Stanfield walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Akagi lands with a right hand.
Akagi doesn't manage to clinch there - Stanfield circles away.
A countering left hand to the body from Stanfield misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Akagi. Stanfield does a little dance to reset his feet.
Akagi ducks under a wild hook from Stanfield.
Yasuhiro Akagi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That kick from Akagi tenderised Stanfield's leg. Stanfield is trying to keep his angry face on.
Stanfield will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Stanfield lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Akagi backs up against the cage.
Stanfield looks to land a right hand but Akagi moved out of range.
An attempted straight right counter from Akagi misses the target.
Akagi throws out a powerful jab.
Akagi looks for the body kick but Stanfield saw that one coming.
Stanfield avoids the body shot from Akagi.

Akagi connects with a body shot.

Oooooh!!! Stanfield has knocked Akagi down with a huge combo! Stanfield steps away and waves a wobbly Akagi back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Akagi throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Stanfield closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Akagi! Stanfield dives in looking to finish! Akagi is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marlo Stanfield!
