Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Floorman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Holden McLoughlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McLoughlin has chosen Home For A Rest by Spirit Of The West as his entrance music. George Floorman has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, George Floorman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Holden McLoughlin!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Bruno Lombardi and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Floorman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McLoughlin moves away.
McLoughlin slips under a jab from Floorman.
Floorman throws a hook to the side of McLoughlin's head but McLoughlin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A combination from Floorman does no damage.
Floorman throws a jab when McLoughlin was well out of range.
McLoughlin moves out of range as Floorman throws a body kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Floorman crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from McLoughlin - the referee stops the clock and Floorman gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says McLoughlin. Floorman manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Floorman throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McLoughlin.
Floorman throws a half hearted mid kick.
McLoughlin tries to clinch but Floorman is having none of it.
George Floorman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McLoughlin misses with a few strikes there.
Floorman blocks a low kick nicely.
Floorman throws a looping overhand right but McLoughlin ducks down to avoid it.
McLoughlin avoids a punch combination nicely.

McLoughlin gets a clinch.

Floorman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nice defenses there by McLoughlin.
McLoughlin tries to clinch but Floorman moves out of range.

McLoughlin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Floorman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Floorman dodges the ground and pound from McLoughlin.

McLoughlin decides to stand back up.

McLoughlin is looking to clinch.
Floorman will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Floorman closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Floorman is breathing heavily.
Floorman misses with a series of wild punches.

McLoughlin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
McLoughlin controls the position.
McLoughlin in side control lands a decent elbow.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
I looks like McLoughlin might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

McLoughlin stands up.

McLoughlin keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Floorman.
Floorman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Floorman swats away the attempt to clinch by McLoughlin.

McLoughlin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Floorman pushes McLoughlin away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, McLoughlin gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
McLoughlin controls the position.

Floorman manages to get back to half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Floorman on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Floorman tries to get out of the position.
Floorman looks like he's trying to stand up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Holden McLoughlin dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



McLoughlin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Floorman wants to get back to his feet.

Floorman is looking for a sweep. McLoughlin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Floorman tries to kick McLoughlin off but McLoughlin keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
McLoughlin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Floorman manages to escape and get back to his feet!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Floorman keeps the fight on the outside.
Nice defenses there by McLoughlin.
McLoughlin dodges the punch combination from Floorman.
McLoughlin is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Floorman looks to throw the jab but McLoughlin is out of range.
McLoughlin showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Floorman.
George Floorman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Floorman looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Floorman misses with a series of wild punches.
McLoughlin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Floorman looks to land a combination but McLoughlin avoids it well.

McLoughlin forces Floorman back against the cage and clinches.

McLoughlin is trying to trip Floorman. He has hold of a leg but Floorman is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. McLoughlin persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
McLoughlin advances to half guard.

McLoughlin content to control rather than advance.
Let's hope that McLoughlin has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Floorman tries to roll over but McLoughlin keeps him under control.
Floorman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McLoughlin is working away from the top position though.
McLoughlin throwing shots but Floorman is blocking nicely.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Floorman is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Holden McLoughlin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Holden McLoughlin is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Holden McLoughlin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well McLoughlin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
