Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Manolito Gafotas (ranked 3352 p4p, 335 weight class) and Eddie Diaz (ranked 4545 p4p, 444 weight class). Diaz has chosen jailbreak as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Manolito Gafotas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eddie Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Gafotas closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Gafotas is trying hard to land a takedown here. Diaz sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Gafotas changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Gafotas shoots in looking for a takedown but Diaz manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gafotas's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Gafotas drops his hands momentarily and Diaz takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Gafotas's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Diaz connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gafotas scrambles back to his feet.

Gafotas drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Diaz gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Diaz pushes Gafotas away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Gafotas gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Diaz is looking to reverse the position.
Gafotas looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Gafotas really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Eddie Diaz really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that KOMBAT KLOTHING logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
