The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardoso displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mcdonald.
Cardoso tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mcdonald gets tackled into the cage by Cardoso. Cardoso maintains the clinch.
Mcdonald is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Cardoso manages to break the clinch.
Cardoso connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Mcdonald! He's out on his feet! Cardoso rushes in and drops Mcdonald with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
