Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Conlon (ranked 4024 p4p, 489 weight class) and Derek David (ranked 22410 p4p, 786 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tommy Conlon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Derek David! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! David wants to clinch. Conlon swats away the attempt to clinch by David. Conlon throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. David tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Conlon is in David's guard. Conlon throwing strikes from guard but David blocks nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Conlon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. David utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Conlon with a flurry of punches that miss. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Conlon working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Conlon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Conlon postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Conlon throws a strike but David rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Conlon is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but David frees his head nicely. Oh but Conlon has switched to an armbar! David is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Armbar). Tommy Conlon! In his post fight interview, Tommy Conlon started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
