The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Phil Schofield and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karlsson moves into the clinch.
Cox letting Karlsson take a breather here.
Karlsson manages to break the clinch.
Karlsson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Cox trying to keep a closed guard but Karlsson is proving a slippery customer.
Karlsson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Cox is looking to stand up but Karlsson isn't so interested in that idea.
Cox could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Karlsson lands a couple of digs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Karlsson distracts Cox with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Karlsson lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Karlsson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Karlsson prevents Cox from getting back to his feet.
Cox uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Karlsson pushes Cox up against the cage in a clinch.

Karlsson throws a knee to the head but misses.
Cox tries to circle away but Karlsson has him pinned against the cage.
Cox drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Karlsson gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Karlsson gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Karlsson tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Karlsson throwing shots but Cox is blocking nicely.

Karlsson drops an elbow to the side of Cox's head.

Karlsson lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Cox quite badly. Cox pulls Karlsson in close trying to recover. Karlsson postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Cox on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Cox doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dan Karlsson!
