Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Amish Mehra (ranked 2474 p4p, 264 weight class) and Rick Douglas (ranked 2331 p4p, 249 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mehra might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Dhal Jaun Main-Akshay Kumar & Ileana D'cruz. Douglas has chosen Problems lil scrappy as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Amish Mehra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rick Douglas!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Russell Pearce and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mehra cracks a nice hook into Douglas's ribs.
Mehra just misses with a punch to the body.
Mehra moves out of range as Douglas strikes.
Douglas gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Douglas cracks Mehra with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Douglas has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

and Mehra counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Douglas out cold! What a finish! Mehra is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

Amish Mehra was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
