Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thurman White (ranked 25034 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Lee (ranked 5980 p4p, 580 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thurman White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bruce Lee!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee throws a sloppy head kick

and White counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Lee looking for a guillotine here but White defends easily.
White throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Lee has White pulled in close to control his posture.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells White's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
White trying to control but Lee is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
White throws a big right hand that misses.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Lee holds on and takes a little breather.
White keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lee's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

White really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Lee wants to get back to striking at distance but White won't allow it.
Lee jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as White walks away with a smile on his face. Lee gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Lee is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
White is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Lee to keep the fight standing.

White pulls guard effortlessly.

Lee not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

White manages to escape and get back to his feet.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


White misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Horrible takedown attempt by Lee or perhaps it was just good defense by White, which made it look bad.
Lee changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. White tries to avoid it but Lee manages to keep hold of a leg and drag White to the ground. White escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Lee changes levels and goes for a takedown here. White fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Bruce Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lee shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Lee feints a jab promting White to slip. Lee then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. White slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Thurman White.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for White, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
