Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hodi Garbandit (ranked 6131 p4p, 429 weight class) and Jason Murdock (ranked 6081 p4p, 427 weight class). Jason Murdock struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 146.0lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murdock tries to clinch but Garbandit is having none of it.
Garbandit is looking to counter punch.
Murdock has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Garbandit is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Garbandit avoids the head kick by Murdock.
Garbandit seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Murdock moves into range and clinches up with Garbandit.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Garbandit lands a right hand.
Garbandit lands a body punch.
The fighters are pressed against the ropes, as the pace of the fight slows.
Murdock is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes.

A frustrated look appears on Murdock's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Murdock wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Garbandit breaks from the clinch.

Garbandit lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Murdock at a distance.

and Garbandit counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Garbandit.
Murdock's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
A head punch blocked on the inside by Garbandit.
Garbandit breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Garbandit has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Murdock.
Murdock is looking to clinch.
Murdock tries to clinch up.
Murdock tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Garbandit swivels and escapes.
Garbandit swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

and Garbandit counters with a nice uppercut.
Garbandit moves into the clinch.

Murdock takes a shot to the head.

Murdock closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Garbandit escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Murdock tries for a takedown but Garbandit circles away easily
and Garbandit counters with a nice uppercut.
Hodi Garbandit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Murdock.
Garbandit lands a jab to the nose.

Garbandit instigates a clinch.

Garbandit throws a big uppercut that drops Murdock! More strikes from Garbandit and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Murdock lies dazed against the ropes as Garbandit celebrates with his cornermen!
