Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joel Delgado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Satoshi Nakamoto!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakamoto misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Nakamoto forces Delgado back against the cage and clinches.

Delgado pulls Nakamoto into guard.
Delgado is pulling down on Nakamoto's head. It's preventing any offense from Nakamoto, at least for the moment.
Delgado lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Delgado is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Delgado accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Nakamoto throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Delgado escapes and throws Nakamoto's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Delgado decides to stand back up. Delgado steps back and let's Nakamoto get back to his feet.

Delgado pushes Nakamoto up against the cage in a clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Delgado breaks the clinch.
Nakamoto throws a right and a left that both miss.

Delgado looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Nakamoto!
Delgado lands a nice forearm strike.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nakamoto is trying to improve his position.

Delgado decides to stand up, so the ref orders Nakamoto to his feet.

Delgado tries to move into range but Nakamoto moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Delgado moves into the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Delgado is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Nakamoto can't fight it off and eventually Delgado manages to take the fight to the floor. Nakamoto looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Delgado gets to his feet. Nakamoto looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Nakamoto misses with a wild body shot.
Nakamoto rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Delgado moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
As Nakamoto looks to move away, Delgado throws a big counter combo but Nakamoto just gets out of the way.
Nakamoto throws a sloppy head kick and Delgado moves out of range easily.
Nakamoto misses the shot to the body.
Delgado throws an overhand right that lands on Nakamoto's shoulder, as Nakamoto tries to avoid the shot.

Delgado has managed to clinch.

Delgado works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Delgado really is a fat lump.

Nakamoto is working an open guard so Delgado takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Delgado closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Nakamoto's guard.
Delgado throws a big right hand that misses.

Delgado engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Delgado has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Nakamoto misses with a straight right.
Nakamoto throws a lazy head kick

and Delgado counters with a takedown into side control.
Nakamoto bucks up and tries to throw Delgado off but instead Delgado has got his back!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
I would not like to be Nakamoto right now.

Delgado is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Nakamoto sees it coming and defends easily.

Nakamoto gets tackled into the cage by Delgado. Delgado maintains the clinch.

Delgado pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Delgado looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Nakamoto!
Nakamoto tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Delgado presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Delgado tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Nakamoto tries to reverse the position but Delgado maintains control.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Nakamoto misses with a looping left.
It looked like Delgado was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Nakamoto lands a nice shot to the body.

Nakamoto gets caught napping as Delgado dives in and scores a takedown. Nakamoto manages to retain guard.
Delgado stays in close to Nakamoto's body and controls the position.

Delgado decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Nakamoto takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Nakamoto gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Delgado decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Nakamoto, up you get!

Delgado shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nakamoto's guard.
Nakamoto wants to get back to his feet but Delgado passes into half guard.

Nakamoto is trying to maintain a safe position but Delgado gets an underhook and turns Nakamoto into the cage.

Delgado tightens his grip and picks Nakamoto up, before dumping him to the ground. Nakamoto manages to land in guard.

Nakamoto is working an open guard so Delgado takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Delgado shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Nakamoto manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Nakamoto is looking to stand back up but Delgado counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Nakamoto.

Delgado decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Delgado closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nakamoto to the mat! Nakamoto manages to get full guard.
Nakamoto can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Delgado controls the pace.
Delgado lands a couple of elbows.
Satoshi Nakamoto has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Joel Delgado is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Delgado, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
