The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perry closes the distance and clinches up with Williams, looking for a takedown. Perry pushes Williams against the cage but Williams circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Perry shoots in for a double leg but Williams sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Williams throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Williams with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
A big head kick from Williams and Perry is sent sprawling to the canvas!
It looks like John Perry has been cut.
