The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thiago pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Thiago displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Space.
Thiago looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Thiago misses the jab.
Space changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Thiago moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
The fighters circling - Thiago throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Thiago tries to land a body kick
and Space counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Space moves into full mount! Thiago won't be happy about that!
Space jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Thiago is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Thiago and Space has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Thiago wants to control but Space postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Space tries for a kimura but Thiago is defending well.
Space with the ground and pound but Thiago regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Space is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Thiago is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
