Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Johnny Rotten!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jack Meoff!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meoff misses with a takedown attempt - Rotten sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Rotten looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Johnny Rotten has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Meoff.
Rotten throws a head kick that half lands.
Meoff wants to clinch up but Rotten keeps it at a distance.
Meoff looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Rotten has taken the fight to the clinch.
Meoff should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Rotten has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Meoff regains guard immediately.

Meoff is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Meoff keeping moving, preventing Rotten from controlling successfully.

Rotten drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Meoff manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Rotten has Meoff in his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rotten is not content to let Meoff control the position.

Meoff tries for a kimura but Rotten is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Meoff tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Meoff has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Meoff thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Rotten is looking for a sweep.
Rotten is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Meoff is controlling him well.

Meoff is working to tighten is grip on Rotten's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Rotten has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Meoff is really squeezing tight and eventually Rotten passes out! Meoff breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
