Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Popoy Kenjutsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jae Sun Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Popoy Kenjutsu looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Popoy Kenjutsu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jae Sun Kim! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Fujiwara and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kim gets a clinch. Kenjutsu looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Kim can't get the takedown.
Kenjutsu misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Kim.
Kenjutsu trying to control the position but instead, Kim has worked for underhooks and has pushed Kenjutsu into the cage. Kenjutsu wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kim has him pressed against the cage. Kenjutsu wants to break the clinch but can't.
Kenjutsu tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kim smiles and moves away.
Kenjutsu shoots in but no luck this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kenjutsu shoots in looking for a takedown. Kim tries to sprawl out of it but Kenjutsu keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kim manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Popoy Kenjutsu. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kenjutsu tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Kim counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Kim breaks the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kim scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Kenjutsu is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kim scores with a couple of nice shots. Kenjutsu is in trouble now - Kim has advanced to mount! Kim landing punches. Kim controlling from the full mount. Kim putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Kim has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kenjutsu is bucking up trying to escape but Kim cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Kim controlling from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kim looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kim lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Kim controlling from mount.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jae Sun Kim just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kim gets a takedown into half guard. Kim stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kim passes to side control. You can see the frustration on Kenjutsu's face as Kim controls the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jae Sun Kim dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kim bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Kim working the ground and pound. Kenjutsu wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Kenjutsu takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The referee asks Kim politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kim prefers to stall for the moment though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kim works to advance to full mount. Kenjutsu defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Kim raining down shots from the mount! A nice elbow there by Kim. Kenjutsu is working to get back to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kim controlling his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. BOOM! Kim connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Despite being in the dominant position, Jae Sun Kim just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kim drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Kim stays in close to Kenjutsu's body and controls the position. Let's hope that Kim has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Kenjutsu tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kim sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kim lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Kim sitting in guard, not really doing much. Kim sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kenjutsu's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kim controlling the action here.

Kim scores with a hook to the body. Kenjutsu takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Jae Sun Kim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kenjutsu checks a low kick from Kim. Kim gets the takedown into side control. Kim moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Kenjutsu wants to get back to his feet but Kim drags him back down. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jae Sun Kim showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Kenjutsu's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Kim throws out a loose jab but Kenjutsu uses good head movement to avoid it. Kim closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. You can see the frustration on Kenjutsu's face as Kim controls the position. Kim lands some shots froms side control. You can see the frustration on Kenjutsu's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Kim is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Kim lands a nice forearm strike. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kenjutsu seems a little lost for a moment, as Kim dominates the positioning. Kim moves into full mount! Jae Sun Kim has got the better of the ground game so far. Kim controlling the pace for now.

Kenjutsu taking some punishment here, with Kim in his half guard. Kim perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kim is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Kim controlling from mount. Kim looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
And that's the end of the fight! Jae Sun Kim comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kim has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
