Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Evan Glascoe (ranked 4467 p4p, 544 weight class) and Kelvin Handleman (ranked 6024 p4p, 660 weight class). Handleman is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Pride FC Theme. Kelvin Handleman is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Evan Glascoe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kelvin Handleman! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Dmitry Maklakov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Glascoe moves out of range of the strikes. Handleman throws a jab but it's blocked by Glascoe. Handleman throws a body shot but no joy. Glascoe throws a nice outside leg kick. Handleman tries to bum rush Glascoe with a series of wild strikes but Glascoe uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Glascoe misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Handleman misses with a two punch combination.
Glascoe darts in and clinches Handleman up against the cage. Handleman managing to block the knees to the body from Glascoe.
Glascoe misses with a hook to the ribs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Glascoe's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Handleman circles away from the clinch attempt.
Handleman connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
It looks like Evan Glascoe has been cut. Glascoe looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Glascoe with a hook. Handleman looks to land a left hand but Glascoe moved out of range nicely.

It looks like Kelvin Handleman has been cut. Glascoe rushes Handleman and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Handleman breaks from the clinch.

Glascoe seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Handleman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Handleman tries to roll over but Glascoe keeps him under control. Glascoe sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Handleman defending well though. That's two minutes gone in the round. Glascoe not landing any meaningful shots this time. Glascoe will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Handleman trying to hold on to Glascoe's head to control him but Glascoe postures up.
Well, if Glascoe is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Handleman has one foot on Glascoe's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Handleman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Glascoe was well out of range. Poor timing from Handleman.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Glascoe misses with a leg kick. Glascoe shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Handleman but Handleman pushes him off and we're back to square one. A countering left hand to the body from Handleman misses. Handleman punishes Glascoe's body with a nice straight punch. Good work by Handleman as he checks the leg kick. Handleman lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Glascoe wants to clinch up but Handleman keeps it at a distance. A battle for position here, against the cage. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Handleman as Glascoe tries to tie him up. Glascoe gets through Handleman's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Glascoe escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Handleman checks a low kick from Glascoe. Glascoe has a takedown stuffed. Handleman waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Glascoe. Glascoe staying out of range there. Glascoe attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Handleman swings for the body but Glascoe moves out of range.

A close round but Kelvin Handleman will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Glascoe counters with a low kick, right behind Handleman 's knee. Nice jab there from Handleman. Handleman cracks Glascoe with a good jab. Handleman lands with a straight right. Glascoe didn't see that one coming. Glascoe tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Handleman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Handleman! But no joy. The fighters circle momentarily. Handleman darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Evan Glascoe's cut is getting worse. Glascoe closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Handleman quickly recovers to half guard. Glascoe working Handleman over with strikes. This has been an exciting period of action! Glascoe looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Handleman is looking to escape. Glascoe thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Handleman gets full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Glascoe trying to control but Handleman is working from the bottom. Glascoe postures up in Handleman's guard and throws a big left but Handleman blocks it. Handleman has control of Glascoe's left arm, preventing Glascoe from doing any damage. Handleman manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Glascoe has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Glascoe there as he acknowledges the shot. Glascoe gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Handleman throws a lazy right hand but Glascoe sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. It looked like Glascoe wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Handleman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Glascoe.

Glascoe goes for a double leg but Handleman avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Handleman continues to drive forward. That's three minutes gone in the round. Handleman throws a looping overhand right but Glascoe ducks down to avoid it. Handleman misses with a wild body shot. It looked like Glascoe wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Glascoe is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Handleman loads up on a big right hand but Glascoe slips the punch. It looked like Glascoe was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Handleman. Glascoe chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Evan Glascoe has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Glascoe throws a leg kick but Handleman moved away. Handleman misses the jab. Handleman throws a shot from downtown. That's four minutes gone in the round. Handleman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Evan Glascoe's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
