Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam McCullen (ranked 3284 p4p, 414 weight class) and Gobal Batra (ranked 1258 p4p, 173 weight class). Gobal Batra acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gobal Batra!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCullen throws a hook but Batra avoids it easily.
Batra shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McCullen as he jumps to the side.
Batra throws a jab when McCullen was well out of range.
McCullen throws out a loose jab but Batra uses good head movement to avoid it.
McCullen throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
McCullen scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Batra has a takedown stuffed.
Batra shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. McCullen defends it nicely.
It looked like McCullen wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Batra throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. McCullen was covering up waiting for the punch and Batra finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting McCullen here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Batra sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Batra takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for McCullen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
