The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shelby closes the distance and clinches.
Shelby lands a hook that snaps the head of Konstantin backwards.
Konstantin taking a breather.
Konstantin dodges an elbow strike from Shelby.
Shelby scores with a shoulder strike.
Shelby lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Shelby lands a hook to the side of the head.
Shelby softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Shelby lands with a left to the head.

Shelby breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Shelby rushes Konstantin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Shelby tries to pull guard but Konstantin holds him up against the cage and eventually Shelby drops back down to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shelby throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Shelby scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Shelby's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Konstantin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Shelby swivels and escapes.

Shelby closes the distance and clinches.
Konstantin missing with knees to the body.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Konstantin's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Konstantin tries a knee to the head but Shelby blocks it.
Shelby scores with a hook to the body.
Shelby lands a hook to the side of the head.
Shelby lands with a left to the head.
Shelby gets through Konstantin's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Konstantin stalling in the clinch but Shelby improves position.
Shelby lands an uppercut.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Shelby takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Konstantin is trying to stall.

Shelby breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Shelby has taken the fight to the clinch.
Shelby gets through Konstantin's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Still in the clinch, Shelby scores with a nice short uppercut.

Konstantin is rocked!

It looks like Yury Konstantin has been cut.
Shelby unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Konstantin! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Shelby is unloading with more strikes now! Konstantin drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
