Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, High Row!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Winston Howard and Topper Green.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Garcia.
Row fails in his attempt to clinch.

Garcia throws a right hand that Row ducks under and follows up with a left that Row also avoids with ease.

Row throws a head kick that misses.

and Garcia counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Row dives in for a single leg takedown but Garcia sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Row is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Garcia jumps into side control!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Row closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Row lands in his opponent's guard.
Garcia wants to stand and escape but Row is having none of it.

Row follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

Row shoots in looking for a takedown. Garcia tries to sprawl out of it but Row keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Garcia manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Garcia throws a big counter combination but Row scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Row takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Row is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Garcia's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Garcia's back!
High Row has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Garcia is trying to remain composed but Row is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Samuel Garcia.
Well Garcia has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Samuel Garcia decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
