Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Metra Vobol (ranked 7879 p4p, 597 weight class) and Bigg Sugg (ranked 7793 p4p, 593 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Metra Vobol! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bigg Sugg! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Winston Howard and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sugg shoots for a double leg takedown but Vobol sprawls well. He's pushed Sugg's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Nice takedown defense from Vobol. No joy for Sugg on that attempt. As Sugg looks to move away, Vobol throws a big counter combo but Sugg just gets out of the way. Vobol misses with a series of wild punches.
Vobol pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Vobol stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vobol wants it to stay on the feet. Metra Vobol has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bigg Sugg. Sugg looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Vobol! Sugg controls the position. Vobol is trying to escape and get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sugg takes a little break here. Vobol wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vobol is pushing Sugg's head away, looking to escape. Sugg manages to hold on to the position though. Sugg content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Vobol could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Vobol swats away the attempt to clinch by Sugg. Sugg darts in and clinches Vobol up against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sugg turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Sugg manages to end up in side control. Sugg controls the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Vobol is trying to get back to his feet. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Sugg prevents Vobol from escaping the position. A lull in the action here as Sugg stalls from top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sugg's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vobol is trying to escape and get back to his feet. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Vobol on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Vobol tries to get out of the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Sugg avoids the head kick by Vobol.
Vobol is breathing heavily. Sugg shoots in for a takedown but Vobol shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Vobol throws a head kick that misses and Sugg counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sugg. Sugg is stalling in the full guard. It looks like Sugg might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bigg Sugg dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sugg. Vobol misses with an attempted mid kick.
Sugg misses with a takedown and Vobol holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. A hook to the body from Vobol.
Vobol prevents a takedown attempt there.
Metra Vobol has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bigg Sugg. Sugg stalling the fight.
A short uppercut from Vobol. Sugg gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sugg prevents Vobol from getting back to his feet. Sugg controlling from the top position. Vobol is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sugg controlling from the top position. Sugg is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Sugg not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Sugg prevents Vobol from getting back to his feet. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Sugg distracts Vobol with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Vobol wants to stand up but Sugg is controlling him. Sugg sitting in guard here, content to control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Vobol, as that shot connected.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Sugg shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Vobol is trying to defend but Sugg finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sugg is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. More stalling from Sugg. Sugg with more of the same as he continues to hold on.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sugg is continuing to stall. Sugg winds up and cracks Vobol with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Sugg looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Bigg Sugg has got the better of the ground game so far. Sugg scoring with strikes to the body and head. Sugg with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Vobol pushes Sugg off looking to stand but Sugg dives back in and keeps control.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Sugg shoots in for a double leg but Vobol sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. It appears Vobol was looking to counter with a kick there. Sugg tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Vobol swivels and escapes. Nice cross by Vobol. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sugg goes for a double leg but Vobol avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Vobol continues to drive forward. Sugg wants to clinch up but Vobol keeps it at a distance. Vobol pulls out of a head kick attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Metra Vobol will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Sugg drops his hands momentarily and Vobol takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Excellent takedown into side control there by Sugg. A lull in the action here as Sugg stalls from top position. Vobol is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Sugg is working to tighten his grip on Vobol's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Vobol has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Sugg is really squeezing tight and eventually Vobol passes out! Sugg breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
