Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Casey Higgins (ranked 25149 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Stevenson (ranked 25141 p4p, 0 weight class). Steve Stevenson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Casey Higgins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Steve Stevenson! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shirou Masuda and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stevenson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Higgins manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Stevenson keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Stevenson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Higgins tries for a takedown. No joy.

It looks like Casey Higgins has been cut. Stevenson stalling in the clinch but Higgins improves position. Stevenson is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Stevenson lands with a short punch from the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Higgins's face as he tries to break the clinch. Stevenson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Higgins has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Stevenson after a bit of a struggle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Casey Higgins. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stevenson lands a right hand that snaps the head of Higgins backwards. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Higgins has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Stevenson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Stevenson is trying to force a seperation but Higgins has the dominant position. Stevenson trying to stall but Higgins improves his position.
Higgins drops down looking for an ankle pick but Stevenson pulls his leg out and moves away.

Stevenson swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Higgins is trying to drag Stevenson to the mat but Stevenson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Stevenson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Higgins.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Higgins looking for a takedown. Higgins wants to take the fight to the mat but Stevenson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Higgins wants to break free but Stevenson has control.
Stevenson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Stevenson lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Stevenson lands with a short head shot on the inside. The referee calls for Stevenson to work.
Stevenson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Stevenson pushes Higgins back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Stevenson lands with a left to the head. Stevenson lands a right hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stevenson scores with a shoulder strike. Stevenson dips a shoulder and cracks Higgins with a mighty uppercut! Higgins falls back against the cage and Stevenson unloads with a barrage of strikes! Higgins is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Stevenson screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
