The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jorge Garcia and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hart lands with a kick to the ribs.
Powell closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Powell lands in his opponent's guard.
Powell slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Powell working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Hart tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hart trying to control the position but Powell manages to sink in the hooks.
Powell is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Hart defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Hart trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Powell is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Hart has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Powell has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Hart taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Powell doesn't care though - he's delighted!
