Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Brown (ranked 5844 p4p, 553 weight class) and Frank De Bruyne (ranked 5818 p4p, 0 weight class). De Bruyne has chosen ScHoolboy Q - Man Of The Year as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shane Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frank De Bruyne! The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Donatello Bradman and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown moves into range and clinches up with De Bruyne. Brown breaks from the clinch.
Frank De Bruyne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brown ducks right into an uppercut from De Bruyne. Brown moves out of range of the strikes. Brown throws a head kick but De Bruyne moves out of range.
Nice body kick from Brown. De Bruyne attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Brown feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Brown connects with a couple of short punches. Brown postures up in De Bruyne's guard and throws a big left but De Bruyne blocks it. Brown trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. De Bruyne preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Brown postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Brown scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. De Bruyne swivels though and keeps the full guard. Brown controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Brown trying to move into half guard but instead De Bruyne has managed to sweep! De Bruyne stands up over Brown, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. De Bruyne throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. De Bruyne throws a big elbow that misses. Brown is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. De Bruyne has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Brown is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Brown drags the fight down to the ground.
De Bruyne keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Brown's head. Brown on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Brown tries to get out of the position. Brown working a defensive guard here.
De Bruyne missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Brown looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Brown is breathing heavily. De Bruyne keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Brown's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. De Bruyne throwing strikes from guard but Brown blocks nicely. Brown preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. De Bruyne chips away with some ground and pound. Brown looking to hit a scissor sweep but De Bruyne is one step ahead there. De Bruyne connects with a couple of short punches. De Bruyne throws a big elbow that misses. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. De Bruyne lands a couple of digs. De Bruyne lands a couple of elbows. De Bruyne decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Brown drives through with a takedown into guard. Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but De Bruyne is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. De Bruyne wants to sweep but no luck. Brown wants to control from the top but De Bruyne keeps moving. Brown postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! De Bruyne is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Brown, into his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Shane Brown will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
De Bruyne lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
De Bruyne lands with an uppercut that bounces Brown off the cage and back into range. Brown feints and then dives in with a takedown. Brown is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. De Bruyne wants to stand and escape but Brown is having none of it. De Bruyne really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brown stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. De Bruyne swivels though and keeps the full guard. Shane Brown overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Brown stands up and waves to De Bruyne to follow him.
That's one minute gone in the round. De Bruyne connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Brown momentarily.
De Bruyne tries for a takedown but Brown sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. De Bruyne is breathing heavily. Excellent takedown into side control there by Brown. Brown tries for a kimura but De Bruyne is defending well. Brown scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at De Bruyne to see if he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. De Bruyne is looking for a sweep. Brown misses with the ground and pound. Brown stands up and beckons De Bruyne to his feet. Brown uses good head movement to avoid the hook from De Bruyne. De Bruyne throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Brown tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. De Bruyne is in Brown's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Brown controlling the position. De Bruyne must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. De Bruyne preventing the sweep. Brown not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round. De Bruyne with a nice head shot there. De Bruyne stands up and waves to Brown to follow him. Brown moves into the clinch successfully.
Brown gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. De Bruyne uses the cage to get back to his feet.
De Bruyne uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. De Bruyne cracks Brown with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. De Bruyne cracks Brown with a good jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts De Bruyne, as that shot connected.
That's four minutes gone in the round. De Bruyne connects with the punch. De Bruyne lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by De Bruyne. Brown changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. De Bruyne looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. De Bruyne throws Brown to one side and escapes! Brown steps to the side to avoid the strikes from De Bruyne. De Bruyne has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Brown pushes De Bruyne up against the cage in a clinch. Brown controlling the action here for a moment.

Frank De Bruyne showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Nice sprawl there from Brown as De Bruyne shoots in. Brown looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Brown won't allow De Bruyne to sweep him here. Brown slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Brown gets to his feet. De Bruyne looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters circling - De Bruyne throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Brown works over De Bruyne's head and body with a nice combination. A left lands for De Bruyne. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice shot lands for De Bruyne. Brown moves out of range as De Bruyne strikes. Frank De Bruyne seems to be getting the better of the standup. De Bruyne gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Brown to score an easy takedown into full guard. Brown seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Brown accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. De Bruyne scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Shane Brown is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. De Bruyne circles away from the clinch attempt.
De Bruyne swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Good shot there by De Bruyne. Brown scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. De Bruyne bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. De Bruyne swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Brown. De Bruyne fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Brown on the side of the head. De Bruyne scores with a jab. Brown acknowledges it with a nod of the head. De Bruyne is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Brown rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but De Bruyne moves out of range and avoids them all easily. It seemed like De Bruyne was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Brown gets the takedown into side control. De Bruyne bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
That's three minutes gone in the round. De Bruyne throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Brown on the side of the head. Brown fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with De Bruyne, pushing him back against the cage. Brown ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Brown no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. De Bruyne lands a couple of digs. Brown lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
De Bruyne kicks Brown off and gets to his feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Brown shoots in and gets a takedown into De Bruyne's guard. De Bruyne uses the cage to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brown looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Brown decides to return to a standing position. Brown wants to clinch. De Bruyne lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Brown takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Shane Brown has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Frank De Bruyne is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. De Bruyne might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. De Bruyne lunges at Brown with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Brown's hand.
And that's the end of the fight! Frank De Bruyne comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think De Bruyne has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
