The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monteiro dips to his left and cracks Cpw with an uppercut!
Cpw moves in looking to clinch but Monteiro pushes him off.
Monteiro moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Dawid Cpw has been cut.
Monteiro throws out a loose jab but Cpw uses good head movement to avoid it.
Cpw doesn't manage to clinch there - Monteiro circles away.
Cpw has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Monteiro moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Cpw darts in trying to clinch
enabling Monteiro to counter with a crisp jab.
Monteiro looks to score with a jab to the body but Cpw is just out of range.
Cpw tries to close the distance and clinch but Monteiro swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Monteiro swats away the attempt to clinch by Cpw.
Cpw takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Monteiro connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Cpw momentarily.
Cpw tries to clinch but Monteiro moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cpw is looking to clinch but Monteiro is avoiding it.
Monteiro scores with a hook to the body. Cpw takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Monteiro swats away the attempt to clinch by Cpw.
Cpw fails in his attempt to clinch.
Monteiro gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Cpw.
It looks like Tony Monteiro has been cut.
Jab, jab by Monteiro - just one landing.
A chopping leg kick lands by Monteiro.
Cpw tries to clinch up.
Monteiro drops Cpw with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Cpw looks back up at him and smiles so Monteiro waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Cpw is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cpw walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Monteiro! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!
