Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Diego Escobar (ranked 423 p4p, 58 weight class) and Rustam Shakhbulatov (ranked 556 p4p, 72 weight class). Shakhbulatov has chosen Sabina Saidova - Dagestan as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Diego Escobar!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rustam Shakhbulatov!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escobar bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Rustam Shakhbulatov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Shakhbulatov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Escobar's guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Diego Escobar.
