These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fang takes a swing at Figg Hoblyn's ribcage but misses.
Fang lands the left hand.

Hiro Fang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Figg Hoblyn's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Fang really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Figg Hoblyn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fang stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Figg Hoblyn has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Fang manages to get his head free but now Figg Hoblyn has transitioned to an armbar! Fang grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Figg Hoblyn! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
