The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Lee throws a sloppy head kick and Lopes moves out of range easily.
Lee throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lopes counters with a takedown into side control.
Lopes has hold of Lee's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Lee tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Lopes cranks the arm and Lee screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Lee, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Paulo Lopes!
In defeat, Bruce Lee stepped up to the mic, saying 'That was a cheap shot or whatever it was that lead to me losing, its bullshit.'.
