Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sea Bass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ichiro Yamasaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sea Bass! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ichiro Yamasaki! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yamasaki scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bass doesn't seem bothered though. Bass shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Yamasaki but Yamasaki pushes him off and we're back to square one. Bass tries to clinch up. Bass moves into the clinch. Yamasaki tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Yamasaki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bass has managed to clinch.
Yamasaki tries to work over Bass's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Yamasaki breaks from the clinch.

Bass darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Bass is thwarting Yamasaki's attempts to control the position. Yamasaki flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Bass passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Yamasaki! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bass blocks Yamasaki's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Yamasaki tries to hold on but Bass pushes him away. Yamasaki keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Bass won't let Yamasaki get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Bass jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Yamasaki is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Yamasaki and Bass has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Bass scores with a couple of short elbows. Bass cracks Yamasaki with an elbow. That is naaassty. Bass tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Yamasaki misses with an elbow from the bottom. Yamasaki is not content to let Bass control the position. Yamasaki takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bass working away. Bass lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sea Bass dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Left hook, right uppercut from Yamasaki. Bass tries to clinch up. Bass wants to clinch. Bass ducks under a wild hook from Yamasaki. Yamasaki takes a swing at Bass's ribcage but misses. Yamasaki throws a right and a left that both miss. Bass throws a one two combo.
Bass checks a low kick from Yamasaki. Yamasaki tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Bass counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Yamasaki's guard now. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bass cracks Yamasaki with a solid left hand. Bass tries to free his leg and advance position but Yamasaki is retaining full guard. Bass works over Yamasaki with some ground and pound from guard. Bass scoring with punches to the head and body. Bass lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Bass stands and throws Yamasaki's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yamasaki gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Yamasaki lands with a few short shots to the body. Bass works his way into full mount! Bass landing strikes from the mount. Bass breaks from Yamasaki's wrist control and lands an elbow. Sea Bass overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bass looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Yamasaki tries to lock up and control but Bass gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Bass connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

The fight moves into the clinch position. Yamasaki gets underhooks to prevent Bass's takedown attempt.

Bass with a flurry of punches that miss. Bass is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Yamasaki can do to turn this around? Yamasaki has his foot on Bass's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bass works his way back into a safe position though. Bass lands a couple of decent looking shots. Bass postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Bass seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Bass is looking to work some ground and pound but Yamasaki has wrist control. Bass with a nice head shot there. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bass tries to free his leg and advance position but Yamasaki is retaining full guard. Yamasaki controls Bass momentarily but Bass frees himself.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bass shoots in for a takedown but Yamasaki shows good takedown defense. Yamasaki swats away the attempt to clinch by Bass. Sea Bass is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bass has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sea Bass. That's going to take a lot out of him. Yamasaki connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Bass circles away from the clinch attempt.
A jab from Yamasaki does it's job there. Yamasaki keeps the fight on the outside. Yamasaki swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Bass shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Yamasaki as he avoids it easily. Yamasaki has taken the fight to the clinch.

Bass breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bass looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Yamasaki swats away the attempt to clinch by Bass. Yamasaki takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Bass is looking to clinch but Yamasaki is avoiding it.

Bass throwing shots but Yamasaki is blocking nicely. Bass slips a nice elbow through Yamasaki's hands, connecting with Yamasaki's forehead. Bass winds up and cracks Yamasaki with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Bass is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Yamasaki pushes Bass off looking to stand but Bass dives back in and keeps control.
Bass lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Bass scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Bass looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Yamasaki with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Yamasaki has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bass is working away from the top position though. Ichiro Yamasaki has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bass wants to work for an arm triangle but Yamasaki is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Yamasaki throws a right and a left that Bass avoids nicely. Bass tries to clinch up but Yamasaki circles away and keeps his distance. Bass tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Yamasaki paws at him with a jab and circles away. Bass looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Yamasaki throws a head kick but Bass moves out of range.
Yamasaki gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Yamasaki looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bass is one step ahead there. Bass connects with a couple of short punches.
And that's the end of the fight! Sea Bass showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bass, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
