Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Skeng Man (ranked 2941 p4p, 374 weight class) and Dennis Nilsen (ranked 1923 p4p, 256 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 14 - 1, fighting out of London, Skeng Man! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dennis Nilsen! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nilsen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nilsen wants it to stay on the feet. Nilsen misses with a hook. Man fires out a quick counter leg kick but Nilsen just manages to avoid it. We've been hearing reports that Man has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Nilsen throws a body kick that misses and Man counters by clinching up. Man works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Nilsen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Man is one step ahead there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nilsen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Man throws a big elbow that misses. Nilsen wants to sweep but no luck. Man throws a strike but Nilsen rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Man wants to improve his position but instead Nilsen has moved into half guard.
Man wants to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Man wants to get back to full guard but Nilsen has mounted him! Man is looking to improve his position but Nilsen isn't that keen on the idea.

My spies in Private Training Center inform me that Nilsen has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Nilsen is riding his opponent, not letting Man buck him off. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Man. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Man is looking to work some ground and pound but Nilsen has wrist control. Man trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Man with a flurry of punches that miss. Man slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Nilsen is holding Man down, trying to stall. Man goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Nilsen rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Man's guard! Nice work there by Nilsen! Nilsen trying to control the position from guard on top but Man is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Man has an active guard here but Nilsen has managed to pass into half guard.
Man is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nilsen pulls his head out easily. Nilsen controlling the action here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Man is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Nilsen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Nilsen's back! Man is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Nilsen is defending well though. Man let's go of the attempt for now. Man is not going to allow Nilsen to sit and survive in this position. Nilsen showing good submission defense here.
You can see the frustration on Nilsen's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Man will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Man punches the canvas rather than the man. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Nilsen. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Man is trying desperately to improve position. Nilsen can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Man is looking to escape. Nilsen lands a big elbow. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Man is trying desperately to improve position. Nilsen wants to control the pace but Man is squirming around nicely. Nilsen prevents Man from getting the reversal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dennis Nilsen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Man manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Man is looking for a kimura but Nilsen is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Man to get the leverage. Nilsen makes his way to full guard, as Man worked for a kimura.
Nilsen seems keen to control Man's posture. Nilsen tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Man postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Man advances to half guard. Man throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Nilsen keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Man working over Nilsen with some ground and pound. Nilsen looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Nilsen makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Nilsen. Man stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nilsen swivels though and keeps the full guard. Nilsen working a defensive guard here.
Man missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Nilsen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Man is staying active underneath Nilsen, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Dennis Nilsen is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Man tries to roll over but Nilsen keeps him under control. Nilsen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Man does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Man wants to improve his position but Nilsen is controlling well.
Nilsen is taking a breather. Man says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Nilsen is looking to advance position but Man won't allow it. Man is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Man actively working from the bottom here. That's three minutes gone in the round. Man is looking for a sweep. Nilsen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Man missing with punches from the bottom.
Nilsen wants to pass to mount but Man is defending the position. Nilsen is figuring out what he wants to do next. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Nilsen passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Man! Man has given up his back. Will we see Nilsen going for some submissions?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nilsen keeps control of the position as Man tries to break free.
Well, with Nilsen on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Man is tapping out... Can he escape the position? A bit of a pause in the action here. Nilsen controlling the positon. Nilsen is continuing to stall. I really don't envy Man right now.
Skeng Man has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. I would not like to be Man right now.
