Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Fraser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Duke South!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
South looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fraser is fending him off so far but South persists. Nope, Fraser circles away and we're back to standing.
South leaves Fraser with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Fraser defends well against a solid takedown attempt from South.
South ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fraser moves away.
South looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fraser is fending him off so far but South persists. Nope, Fraser circles away and we're back to standing.
Chris Fraser has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Duke South.
Fraser closes the distance and clinches up with South, looking for a takedown. Fraser pushes South against the cage but South circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Fraser shoots in for a takedown but South shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
South throws a right and a left that both miss.
Fraser tries to score a power double leg takedown but South sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fraser somewhat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
South throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fraser's waist but Fraser gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing South off to one side.
Fraser tries to counter by clinching up but South breaks away and moves out of range.

As South tries to get set, Fraser tries to push him back and clinch up but South manages to avoid the attempt.

South darts in and clinches Fraser up against the cage.

Fraser slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

South throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Fraser escapes and throws South's legs to the side, diving into side control!
South is looking to reverse the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Fraser stands up.
South will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A head kick misses from South.
Fraser shoots in for a double leg but South sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Fraser slaps away a takedown attempt from South, before circling back to the center of the mat.
South looks winded!
Fraser shoots in looking for a takedown but South manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fraser's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
South pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from South is defended easily by Fraser.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
South takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Chris Fraser will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


South fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fraser avoids it really well and circles away.
As South looks to move away, Fraser throws a big counter combo but South just gets out of the way.
Fraser shoots in looking for a takedown. South tries to sprawl out of it but Fraser keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. South manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

South moves into range and clinches up with Fraser.

Fraser takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

South throws a push kick but Fraser slaps the foot to one side.

South drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Fraser gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Fraser paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Chris Fraser will probably get the nod.
That's time! Fraser's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Chris Fraser is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chris Fraser.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fraser, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
