Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marco Polo (ranked 4954 p4p, 473 weight class) and Adam Deadmarsh (ranked 18440 p4p, 664 weight class). Polo's entrance music is On The Floor. A fine choice. Adam Deadmarsh is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 26 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marco Polo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adam Deadmarsh! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Polo shoots in for a takedown but Deadmarsh shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Deadmarsh tries a quick counter leg kick but Polo is wise to it. Deadmarsh changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Deadmarsh connects with an inside leg kick. Deadmarsh lands with a hook. Polo tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Polo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Deadmarsh sprawls well initially but Polo persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Polo missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Deadmarsh is refusing to be controlled, as Polo sits in half guard. Polo throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Deadmarsh to regain full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Polo with a flurry of punches that miss. Deadmarsh is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Polo tries to free his leg and advance position but Deadmarsh is retaining full guard. Polo engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's one minute gone in the round. Deadmarsh controlling Polo's posture. Deadmarsh keeping moving, preventing Polo from controlling successfully. Polo stopping the sweep attempt from Deadmarsh. Polo loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Deadmarsh has control of Polo's left arm, preventing Polo from doing any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Polo fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Deadmarsh cracks Polo with a good jab. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Deadmarsh has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Polo has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Deadmarsh. Polo tries to clinch but Deadmarsh is having none of it. Polo shoots in for a takedown but Deadmarsh shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marco Polo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Deadmarsh is trying hard to land a takedown here. Polo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Deadmarsh keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Polo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Deadmarsh is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Adam Deadmarsh dominated that round. The cut man is working on Marco Polo's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Polo darts in looking for a takedown but Deadmarsh gets double underhooks and turns Polo into the cage. Deadmarsh tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Polo is able to avoid easily. Adam Deadmarsh seems to be getting the better of the standup. A low kick from Deadmarsh misses and Polo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Deadmarsh's guard. Deadmarsh manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Polo manages to get himself to full guard.

Deadmarsh lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Deadmarsh is nestled in close to Polo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Nice strikes from Deadmarsh there. Polo moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Deadmarsh is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Polo looking for a sweep. Not yet Polo, not yet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Deadmarsh postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Polo has his foot on Deadmarsh's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Deadmarsh works his way back into a safe position though. Polo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Deadmarsh is aware though and is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Deadmarsh fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Polo on the side of the head. Deadmarsh thuds his shin into the meat of Polo's side. Polo shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Deadmarsh lands a leg kick that knocks Polo off balance momentarily. Deadmarsh dips to his left and cracks Polo with an uppercut! Polo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Deadmarsh tries to avoid it but Polo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Deadmarsh to the ground. Deadmarsh escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Polo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Deadmarsh but Deadmarsh pushes him off and we're back to square one. Polo doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Polo shoots in but no luck this time. Deadmarsh looks like he wants to counter punch here. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marco Polo. That's going to take a lot out of him. A nice leg kick lands there from Deadmarsh. Deadmarsh lands with a straight right. Polo didn't see that one coming. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Deadmarsh clinches up against the cage.

Polo let out a lung full of air as it connected. Deadmarsh gets through Polo's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. A left hand lands to the body for Deadmarsh.

Polo is rocked! A short right hand to the side of the head by Deadmarsh. Oh Polo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Polo is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Deadmarsh is defending well. Deadmarsh lands a body shot. Polo seems to have got his legs back now. A right hook to the body lands for Deadmarsh.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Deadmarsh lands a right hand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Deadmarsh cracks Polo with a nice body shot. Deadmarsh has picked Polo up - he's going for a ride! Deadmarsh dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Deadmarsh looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Polo is not content to let Deadmarsh control the position. Still in half guard, Deadmarsh seems content to control. Deadmarsh seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Deadmarsh lands with a punch from half guard. Deadmarsh is trying to control. Polo wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Ground and pound from Deadmarsh. Deadmarsh slips a nice elbow through Polo's hands, connecting with Polo's forehead. Polo is concentrating on defense, preventing Deadmarsh from advancing position. Deadmarsh is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Polo on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The fighters are battling for position here. And that's the end of the fight! Adam Deadmarsh comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Deadmarsh has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
