Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Paul Murhaa (ranked 358 p4p, 43 weight class) and Maatia Supuaga (ranked 1136 p4p, 114 weight class). Supuaga is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Wanna Taki Taki. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Paul Murhaa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Maatia Supuaga! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murhaa jabbing away but nothing is landing. Murhaa keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Supuaga moves into range and clinches up with Murhaa. Supuaga is trying to break the clinch but Murhaa has him pressed against the cage. Murhaa manages to break the clinch.
Murhaa takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Supuaga wants to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Supuaga is looking to clinch but Murhaa is avoiding it.
Supuaga shoots in looking for a takedown but Murhaa manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Supuaga's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Murhaa swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Supuaga fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Murhaa manages to avoid it. Murhaa looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Maatia Supuaga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Supuaga throws a series of punches but Murhaa avoids them all with ease. Paul Murhaa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Supuaga tries to clinch up but Murhaa circles away and keeps his distance. Supuaga on the wrong end of a nice hook. Supuaga tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Murhaa swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Murhaa throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Supuaga sees it coming and avoids it easily. Murhaa scores with a nice head shot. Murhaa connects with a jab. Supuaga dives in for a single leg takedown but Murhaa sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Supuaga lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Supuaga slips under a jab. Supuaga forces Murhaa back against the cage and clinches. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Supuaga. Murhaa breaks from the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Supuaga doesn't manage to clinch there - Murhaa circles away.
Supuaga tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Supuaga tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Murhaa paws at him with a jab and circles away. Murhaa misses with a shot to the body and Supuaga makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Murhaa works Supuaga's body with a nice hook. Supuaga tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Murhaa manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Murhaa throws the left hand but Supuaga avoids the punch easily. Supuaga moves into range and connects with a jab. Supuaga keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Murhaa. Supuaga is looking to clinch but Murhaa is avoiding it.
A little feinted left hand from Murhaa on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Murhaa swats away the attempt to clinch by Supuaga.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Supuaga tries to close the distance and clinch up but Murhaa swats him away and circles back towards the center. Murhaa was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Murhaa lands with a right hand. Supuaga walks into a jab. Murhaa keeps the fight on the outside. Supuaga has Murhaa up against the cage in a clinch.
Murhaa lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Supuaga misses with a hook to the ribs.
Supuaga has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Supuaga can't find room to land a body shot as Murhaa controls the action.

Supuaga tries to clinch but Murhaa moves out of range. Murhaa was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Supuaga falls off balance throwing a combination
and Murhaa counters with a nice uppercut.
Supuaga is rocked! Supuaga dives in and scores a takedown into Murhaa's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Murhaa is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Murhaa is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Murhaa is taking a breather. Supuaga says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Murhaa dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
The fight stays on the outside here - Supuaga looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Supuaga fails in his attempt to clinch. Supuaga closes the distance and clinches. Supuaga tries to throw a body punch but Murhaa avoids it by throwing Supuaga back against the cage. Murhaa breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Supuaga wants to clinch but Murhaa slips to the side letting Murhaa counter with a right hand. Supuaga closes the distance and pushes Murhaa back into the cage. Murhaa breaks from the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Murhaa swats away the attempt to clinch by Supuaga. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Supuaga is defended easily by Murhaa. Paul Murhaa is winning the standup battle so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Supuaga shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Supuaga wants to clinch and Murhaa counters with a straight right hand. Supuaga uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Murhaa.

Supuaga scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Murhaa circles away from the clinch attempt.
Murhaa is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Supuaga throws a right hand that Murhaa ducks under and follows up with a left that Murhaa also avoids with ease. An attempted straight right counter from Murhaa misses the target.

Murhaa misses the shot to the body. Murhaa smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Supuaga cracks Murhaa with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Good leg kick by Murhaa there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Murhaa has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Murhaa scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Supuaga is still on wobbly legs! Can Murhaa finish him? Murhaa misses with a low kick as Supuaga jumps back. Supuaga seems to have recovered his senses. Supuaga moves into range and clinches up with Murhaa. Supuaga throws a head punch that misses. Murhaa blocking some punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murhaa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Supuaga wants to clinch. Supuaga is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A left lands for Murhaa. Supuaga throws a lazy uppercut
and Murhaa counters with a lovely straight right hand! Murhaa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Murhaa sets himself, and Supuaga steps forward looking for the clinch! Murhaa avoids it this time. Murhaa is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Supuaga can do to turn this around?

That was a close second round but I would say that Paul Murhaa will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Supuaga misses with a left hand and Murhaa cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Murhaa looks to land a combination but Supuaga avoids it well. Supuaga moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murhaa lands a jab to the nose. Supuaga tries to clinch and Murhaa counters with a huge left! Supuaga is in big trouble! He's backing up but Murhaa isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Supuaga from any more damage. A dominating finish by Murhaa!
