Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frito Lei (ranked 9372 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zapi Zap (ranked 24401 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Frito Lei has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lei misses with a head kick.
The fight moves into the clinch position.

Zap's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Lei pushes Zap away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Zap gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Zap throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

With the fighters up against the cage, Lei throws an elbow but misses.
Zap has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Lei is trying to keep an underhook but Zap manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Lei is refusing to be controlled, as Zap sits in half guard.
Zap prevents Lei from standing back up.
Zap takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Lei is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Zap scores with a couple of nice shots.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Zap fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lei to the ground. Zap is now in Lei's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Zap not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Zap wants to control from the top but Lei keeps moving.
Zap seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Zap is standing up over Lei. Lei looks to escape but Zap dives into side control.
Zap staying calm.
Lei explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

A jab from Zap does it's job there.
Zap circles away from the clinch attempt.
Zap has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Lei looks for the body kick but Zap saw that one coming.
Lei swings for the body but Zap moves out of range.
Despite the aggression on Zap's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Lei connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Lei throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Zap changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Frito Lei is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Zap has taken the fight to the clinch.
Zap pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Zap shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lei is trying to defend but Zap finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Zapi Zap showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Lei's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Zap shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lei's guard.

Zap lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Zap drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Lei is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Zap is controlling him well.
The strikes coming from Zap are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Zap is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Lei will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
