Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Erin Riley (ranked 25022 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Deleon (ranked 5988 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deleon doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Riley counters by moving into the clinch.

and Riley decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Deleon's guard.

Deleon jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Riley walks away with a smile on his face. Deleon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Deleon crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Riley - the referee stops the clock and Deleon gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Riley. Deleon manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
