Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Claud Knowles (ranked 25010 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zlatan King (ranked 5817 p4p, 533 weight class). Zlatan King has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Claud Knowles's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Claud Knowles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Zlatan King!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Sergei Dronov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

King bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Knowles really is a fat lump.

King closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - King lands in his opponent's guard.
Knowles really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...
King not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

King gets to his feet. Knowles looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

King closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Knowles did well to prevent King getting side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Knowles tries to roll over but King keeps him under control.

King stalling away here and it's allowed Knowles to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Knowles might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Knowles has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. King has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

King tightens his grip and picks Knowles up, before dumping him to the ground. Knowles manages to land in guard.
King wants to control from the top but Knowles keeps moving.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

A close round but Zlatan King will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Knowles is trying to control King's posture but King avoids it.
King is looking to take a break and control but Knowles is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Knowles knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for King on the ground.
You can see the frustration on Knowles's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

King takes a little break here. Knowles wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
King has control of an arm but Knowles manages to advance to King's back!
King trying to get back to his feet but Knowles is in full control for now.
King turns into Knowles and is now in his guard.

Knowles looking for a guillotine here but King defends easily.
King stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Knowles swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Knowles has his hands on King's head, controlling the position.
King wants to control from the top but Knowles keeps moving.

Knowles has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
King works over Knowles with some ground and pound from guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Knowles holds on and takes a little breather.
King landing with the ground and pound.

Knowles is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and King defends well.
King postures up and lands a big shot to Knowles's brow.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
King advances to half guard.

King is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Knowles is just riding it out for now. King eventually gives up the hold.
King is keen to just control but Knowles is a slippery customer.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
King tries to stand and escape but Knowles is controlling the position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Knowles is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zlatan King showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
King is nestled in close to Knowles, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Knowles is not content to let King control the position.

King looking to control but Knowles is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
King working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Knowles tries to hold on but King pushes him away.
King postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Knowles in real trouble here! The ref calls for Knowles to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
