Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 18 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jonqw Fray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Russell Westbrook!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Westbrook gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Westbrook is pressed up against the cage. Fray has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Westbrook down to the mat. Westbrook avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Fray tries to keep at a distance but Westbrook has taken the fight into the clinch.
Westbrook lands a damaging elbow.


It looks like Jonqw Fray has been cut.

Fray gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Westbrook is looking to escape.
Fray looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Westbrook with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Westbrook is trying to stand back up but Fray is controlling him
Fray scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Fray is just content to waste time from the top position. Westbrook takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Fray working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Fray tries to free his leg and advance position but Westbrook is retaining full guard.

Fray postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Westbrook is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Fray dives into side control.
Fray tries to move to full mount but Westbrook actually manages to regain half guard.

Fray seems to be looking for submissions.
Fray throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Fray missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Fray is working for a kimura but Westbrook is defending it quite comfortably.
Fray thows a huge punch but Westbrook dodges it nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ground and pound from Fray.
Westbrook tries to kick Fray off but Fray keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Fray looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Fray is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Fray looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Westbrook tries to kick Fray off in order to stand up. Fray Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Westbrook takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fray lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Fray is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Westbrook is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Westbrook is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Fray has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Fray scores with punches from side control.
Westbrook tries to escape but Fray is in control.

Fray working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Fray cracks Westbrook with an elbow. That is naaassty.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fray working the head with strikes.
Westbrook is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Fray asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Fray wants to control but Westbrook is keeping him busy.
Fray lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Westbrook down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fray wants to control but Westbrook is keeping him busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Westbrook gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Westbrook has momentary wrist control but Fray slips an elbow through the middle.
Westbrook is looking to stand up but Fray isn't so interested in that idea.
Fray wants to control from the top but Westbrook keeps moving.
Fray has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fray is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Fray trying to control but Westbrook is working from the bottom.

Fray lying in Westbrook's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Westbrook decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Fray taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
