Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Melvin Comeau (ranked 3385 p4p, 417 weight class) and Logan McKibbon (ranked 3828 p4p, 465 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Comeau might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to One of These Days. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Melvin Comeau! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Logan McKibbon! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Comeau clobbers McKibbon with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
It looks like Logan McKibbon has been cut. Comeau misses with a left hand and McKibbon moves into the clinch. Comeau is trying to force a seperation but McKibbon has the dominant position. McKibbon using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Comeau has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Comeau is trying to break the clinch but McKibbon has him pressed against the cage. Comeau wants to break free but McKibbon has control.
McKibbon landing some nice looking knees to the body.

McKibbon is pushing Comeau up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. McKibbon landing knees to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McKibbon misses with a knee to the head. Comeau has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Comeau escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Comeau missing with a left hand there. McKibbon was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. McKibbon takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. McKibbon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's one minute gone in the round. McKibbon tries to close the distance and clinch but Comeau swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Comeau looks to score with a jab to the body but McKibbon is just out of range. McKibbon wants to counter with a clinch but Comeau pushes him away. McKibbon has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from McKibbon there as he acknowledges the shot. Comeau throws out a loose jab but McKibbon uses good head movement to avoid it. Comeau sets himself, and McKibbon steps forward looking for the clinch! Comeau avoids it this time. McKibbon shoots in but Comeau avoids the takedown attempt easily. McKibbon uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Comeau. Comeau misses with a wild combination.
Comeau ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McKibbon moves away. Comeau misses with a hook. McKibbon ducked under it nicely. McKibbon tries to counter by closing the distance. McKibbon looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Comeau throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Comeau waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract McKibbon. McKibbon moves out of range as Comeau strikes. McKibbon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Comeau paws at him with a jab and circles away. McKibbon defending well as Comeau loads up on a big left hand. McKibbon has managed to clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McKibbon tries to land a knee to the head but Comeau blocks with his arms.

Comeau swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Comeau misses with an uppercut. A jab from Comeau misses. Comeau misses with a hook. McKibbon blocks a jab. McKibbon steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Comeau. Comeau throws a series of strikes that have McKibbon backpedaling.
Nice uppercut lands for Comeau. That snapped McKibbon's head back.
McKibbon pushes Comeau up against the cage in a clinch. We've been informed that McKibbon has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. McKibbon throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Comeau blocks it with crossed arms. Comeau takes a knee right on the jaw!
It looks like Melvin Comeau has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McKibbon with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Comeau has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Comeau breaks the clinch.
Comeau swats away the attempt to clinch by McKibbon. Comeau is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Comeau misses the jab. McKibbon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Comeau swats him away and circles back towards the center. Comeau loads up on a big right hand but McKibbon slips the punch. Melvin Comeau seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McKibbon clinches up with Comeau and pushes him back against the cage. Comeau tries to break the clinch but McKibbon is controlling the position. Comeau breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Comeau bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of McKibbon's head. Comeau throws a hook to the side of McKibbon's head but McKibbon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Comeau scores with a jab. McKibbon acknowledges it with a nod of the head. A telegraphed right hand from Comeau misses the target. McKibbon is looking to clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Melvin Comeau dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

That has opened up Logan McKibbon's cut even more. Comeau pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Logan McKibbon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Comeau sets himself, and McKibbon steps forward looking for the clinch! Comeau avoids it this time. Comeau throws a lazy right hand but McKibbon sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Comeau throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on McKibbon's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Comeau dives in looking to finish as McKibbon flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Comeau's strikes! Comeau is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! McKibbon's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but McKibbon was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Melvin Comeau! After the fight, Melvin Comeau was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. In defeat, Logan McKibbon stepped up to the mic, saying 'Thanks for coming everyone , it was not my night.'.
