Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Tua (ranked 1367 p4p, 33 weight class) and Tony Slevin (ranked 3268 p4p, 113 weight class). Slevin has chosen timber as his entrance music. Tony Slevin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Tua !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tony Slevin!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slevin keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Tua .
Slevin throws out a counter right but Tua avoids it with no problem.
Slevin throws a poor cross that misses
and Tua counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Tony Slevin has been cut.
Slevin throws a jab but it's blocked by Tua .
Tua rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Slevin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Tua cracks Slevin with a right hand to the side of the head.
Tua throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Slevin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Tua misses with a left hand
and Slevin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Tua lands a head shot.
Slevin throws an overhand right that lands on Tua 's shoulder, as Tua tries to avoid the shot.
Tua misses the jab.
Tua tries to bum rush Slevin with a series of wild strikes but Slevin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Slevin uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tua .
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nice defenses there by Slevin.
Slevin takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Tua fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Slevin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Slevin lands an overhand right.
Tua punishes Slevin's body with a nice straight punch.
Slevin keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Tua .
Tua throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Slevin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Slevin misses with a jab to the body
and Tua counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Slevin has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Tua takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Tua throws a nice inside leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tua just misses with a punch to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tua lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Tua throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Slevin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Slevin throws the left hand but Tua avoids the punch easily.
Tua was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Tua misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Slevin.
Tua goes for a small jab and connects. Now Tua goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Slevin stumbles back but Tua runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Slevin to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Slevin will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). David Tua !
David Tua seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
In defeat, Tony Slevin stepped up to the mic, saying 'ill be round your house later with the lads'.
