1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Billy Bobkins! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Chris Dean and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bobkins jabs Nebel to the body, keeping him at a distance. Nebel tries to bum rush Bobkins with a series of wild strikes but Bobkins uses good footwork to avoid the assault. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Bobkins! But no joy. Nebel misses with a combination
and Bobkins counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Nebel throws a sloppy body shot
and Bobkins counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Bobkins takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
It looks like Billy Bobkins has been cut. Nebel misses with a hook
and Bobkins counters with a nice uppercut. Nebel misses with a straight left. Nebel loads up on a big right hand but Bobkins slips the punch. Nebel throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Bobkins counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. This has been an exciting period of action! Nebel throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Bobkins counters with a nice uppercut. Nebel throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Nebel throws a right hand that misses
enabling Bobkins to counter with a crisp jab. Hans Nebel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nebel clobbers Bobkins with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
That's one minute gone in the round. A slow jab from Nebel misses its intended target. Bobkins is looking for the big counter here. Nebel throws a right and a left that Bobkins avoids nicely. Bobkins lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bobkins. Nebel has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Wolf's Den Cardio and Sparring ($50 a week!!) in the buildup to the fight. Bobkins lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nebel circles away quickly and effectively. Nebel connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
That has opened up Billy Bobkins's cut even more. Nebel will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Good standup being displayed there by Nebel as he connects with a hook. Nebel throws a hook to the side of Bobkins's head but Bobkins sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Donk. Nebel catches Bobkins right on the button with a cross. Bobkins looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Nebel misses with a left hand and Bobkins counters with a nice uppercut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nebel throws a lazy uppercut

and Bobkins counters with a left and a right that stings Nebel. Nebel throws a jab but it's blocked by Bobkins. A jab from Nebel misses. Bobkins is working the combinations to good effect here. Bobkins defending well as Nebel loads up on a big left hand. Some wild striking there from Bobkins.
Nebel throws a shot from downtown. Bobkins moves away and avoids it. It seemed like Bobkins was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Nebel misses with a left hand and Bobkins counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Bobkins misses with a wild combination.
Nebel misses with a left hand and Bobkins counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Bobkins blocks a jab. Nebel drops Bobkins with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Bobkins looks back up at him and smiles so Nebel waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
The cut above Billy Bobkins's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Bobkins looks winded!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nebel throws out a token jab with nothing on it. It seemed like Bobkins was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Bobkins keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Nebel. Bobkins lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Nebel is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bobkins. Bobkins uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Nebel. Nebel misses with an uppercut. Billy Bobkins's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Billy Bobkins's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Hans Nebel! Hans Nebel decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
