The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bam looks to land a combination. Gonzalez sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Bam rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gonzalez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
No joy there for Bam, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bam ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Bam lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Gonzalez at a distance.
Gonzalez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bam swivels and escapes.
Bam misses with a series of wild punches.
Gonzalez seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Gonzalez has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Gonzalez lands with a hook. Bam tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

It looks like Bam Bam has been cut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

It looked like Gonzalez was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Gonzalez's jab looks to have found its range, popping Bam under the eye.
Bam takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Despite the aggression on Bam's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

and Gonzalez counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bam thinking.

Gonzalez cracks Bam with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Bam looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Gonzalez finish him?

Bam is rocked!
Bam gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Gonzalez points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Bam wakes up just in time to hear Gonzalez thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

A determined Eulalio Gonzalez didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
