Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Chico Grande (ranked 234 p4p, 24 weight class) and Jeremy Pettis (ranked 3131 p4p, 277 weight class). Grande comes into the arena with Dead By Dawn by Deicide blaring out of the sound system. Jesus Chico Grande has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jesus Chico Grande! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Jeremy Pettis! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grande moves into range and connects with a jab. Grande scores with a sloppy right hand. Pettis should have avoided that one. Grande misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pettis.
Pettis keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Grande throws a chopping leg kick but Pettis manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Grande cracks the inside of Pettis's front leg. Jesus Chico Grande seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Grande misses with a looping right. Pettis wants to counter with a clinch but Grande pushes him away. Grande is looking to slow Pettis down with leg kicks. Grande misses with a wild body shot. Grande misses with an uppercut. Pettis saw that one coming. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The crowd cheers as Grande lands an impressive looking overhand right. Pettis doesn't seem phased though. Jab by Grande. Grande throws a body punch but Pettis moves out of range. A little jabbing left from Pettis on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Grande does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Pettis avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Pettis steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Grande.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grande swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pettis tries to counter with a clinch but Grande shakes him off and moves away. Grande swings widly with a right hand
enabling Pettis to counter with a crisp jab. Pettis takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Grande looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Grande sets himself, and Pettis steps forward looking for the clinch! Grande avoids it this time. Grande fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Pettis moves out of range of the leg kick from Grande. Grande throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Pettis connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Grande swings and misses with a shot to the body and Pettis counters with a series of strikes. Grande will be more careful next time no doubt. Grande scores with a crisp jab that stopped Pettis in his tracks. Grande keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pettis slips a jab from Grande. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Pettis! But no joy. Grande lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Grande misses with a body shot
and Grande takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grande rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Pettis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A slapping leg kick lands for Grande.
Grande misses with a shot to the body and Pettis counters with a straight right hand. Grande lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Pettis at a distance.
Grande lands a jab to the nose. Pettis ducks under a wild hook from Grande. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Pettis! But no joy. Grande falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Pettis to counter with a crisp jab. Grande jabs Pettis right on the nose. Pettis blinks but takes it well. Grande feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Pettis's calf. Grande ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pettis moves away. Pettis slips under a jab from Grande. As Grande backs off Pettis throws a huge counter combo but Grande manages to avoid it all.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pettis moves out of range of the strikes. A head kick misses from Grande. Pettis takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Grande throws a shot from downtown. Pettis moves away and avoids it. Pettis wants to counter the offense by Grande and move into the clinch position. Grande swinging wildly here.
Pettis steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Grande. Grande throws a poor cross that misses
and Pettis counters with a lovely straight right hand! Grande's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Grande duly obliges. Grande swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Grande misses with a left hand and Pettis counters by moving into the clinch. Grande works on Pettis's body with a couple of short punches. Pettis has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Grande misses with a short punch on the inside. Grande throws a punch but it's blocked by Pettis. Grande can't find room to land a body shot as Pettis controls the action.
Pettis tries to circle away but Grande has him pinned against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pettis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Grande misses with a looping left. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pettis on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Pettis slips a straight right by Grande. A little jabbing left from Pettis on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. A slow jab from Grande misses its intended target. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Pettis! But no joy. A low kick from Grande is predictable there enabling Pettis to counter with a crisp jab. Pettis showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Grande.
A little jabbing left from Pettis on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Grande throws a shot from downtown. Pettis moves away and avoids it. Pettis tries to counter by closing the distance. A slow jab from Grande misses its intended target. It seemed like Pettis was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Grande misses with an uppercut
and Pettis counters with a stiff right hand. Pettis might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. The fighters circling - Grande throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Grande misses the body punch and Pettis counters with a straight right hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jesus Chico Grande dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Grande misses with a right hand and Pettis makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Grande takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Nice shot lands for Grande. Grande has closed the distance and engaged Pettis in a clinch.
Pettis wants to break the clinch but can't.
Grande misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Grande lands a hook to the side of the head. Grande misses with a hook to the ribs.
Pettis tries to circle away but Grande has him pinned against the cage. A short right from Grande on the inside. A shot in the inside from Grande. Grande misses with a punch on the inside.
Pettis has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Grande lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Pettis is rocked! A body shot lands from Grande.
Pettis is still on wobbly legs! Can Grande finish him? Grande lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Pettis. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Grande unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Pettis! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Grande is unloading with more strikes now! Pettis drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jesus Chico Grande! Jesus Chico Grande took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'Stop saying that I look like Goofy! In Colombia, I am known as La Bestia! Stop saying that I look like the Disney character! '.
