The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malone takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Ngannou tries to bum rush Malone with a series of wild strikes but Malone uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Malone tries to clinch there but Ngannou circles away.
Ngannou lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

and Ngannou makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

A right-left combo lands from Malone.
Ngannou sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Ngannou lands a right hook to the body.
Ngannou throws a right and a left that both miss.
Malone thinks about countering with a head kick.
Malone dives in and grabs Ngannou's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ngannou pushes down on Malone's head and hops out.

Malone is breathing heavily.

Malone shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ngannou pinned against the cage. Ngannou gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Muggsy Malone. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ngannou lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Malone out cold! Malone is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
