Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Greg Sapp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ivar The Viking!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Viking drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The Viking is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Sapp keeping moving, preventing The Viking from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The Viking seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The Viking trying to control but Sapp is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The Viking passes Sapp's left leg - he's now in half guard.

The Viking wants to control but Sapp is keeping him busy.

The Viking is looking to advance position but Sapp won't allow it.
Sapp on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sapp tries to get out of the position.
The Viking perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The Viking wants to pass to mount but Sapp is defending the position.

Sapp is defending against the submission attempts here by The Viking.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The Viking is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sapp sees it coming and defends easily.

The Viking in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Sapp tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from The Viking!
