Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bartholomäus Wolff (ranked 1117 p4p, 122 weight class) and Fletch Brandis (ranked 1400 p4p, 147 weight class). Brandis is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Voodoo. Bartholomäus Wolff has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bartholomäus Wolff!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fletch Brandis!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brandis fails to land with a series of punches.
Brandis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Brandis throws a jab when Wolff was well out of range.
A quick step to the side and Wolff tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
A slow jab from Brandis misses its intended target.
Brandis's jab looks to have found its range, popping Wolff under the eye.
Brandis waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Wolff.
Wolff tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Brandis manages to circle out of the way.
Wolff seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Brandis misses with a wild body shot.
Wolff is looking to counter the offense by Brandis and move into the clinch.
Brandis scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Wolff uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Brandis.
It looked like Wolff was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Brandis.
Brandis has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Wolff takes one to the chin there.
Wolff dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Brandis. That did some damage!
Brandis misses with an uppercut
and Brandis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Brandis throws a looping overhand right but Wolff ducks down to avoid it.
Fletch Brandis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wolff takes one to the chin there.
Brandis throws a hook but Wolff avoids it easily.
Wolff seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Brandis throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
It appears Wolff was looking to counter with a kick there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wolff uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Brandis.
Brandis swings for the body but Wolff moves out of range.

Wolff drives through and clinches with Brandis against the cage.
Wolff lands a left hand that snaps the head of Brandis backwards.
Brandis is trying to push Wolff away but Wolff has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Brandis wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Brandis working hard to break the clinch.
Wolff working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Wolff lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Brandis looks winded!
Wolff has Brandis pressed against the cage, preventing Brandis from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Wolff pushes Brandis back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Wolff lands a nice shot to the body.
Wolff throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Brandiss head.
Wolff lands a left hand.


Brandis is rocked!
Wolff dips a shoulder and cracks Brandis with a mighty uppercut! Brandis falls back against the cage and Wolff unloads with a barrage of strikes! Brandis is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Wolff screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bartholomäus Wolff!

A very excited looking Bartholomäus Wolff rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
Fletch Brandis was interviewed post fight and said 'I think I'm gonna drink a Miller Lite tonight and play some pool.'.
