Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Steve Sanchez (ranked 2359 p4p, 227 weight class) and Rad Dood (ranked 2662 p4p, 244 weight class). Sanchez's entrance music is Where is My Mind? by Pixies. A fine choice. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rad Dood! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Alyssa Summers and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez misses with a hook. Sanchez missing with a left hand there. Dood was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Dood looks to score with a jab to the body but Sanchez is just out of range. Sanchez throws a lazy uppercut
and Dood counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Dood ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sanchez moves away. Sanchez swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Dood slips a jab from Sanchez. Sanchez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dood.
Sanchez half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Dood slips a jab from Sanchez. Sanchez connects with a looping right hand.
Dood avoids a lazy jab quite easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sanchez throws a jab but it's blocked by Dood. Dood with the counter takedown but Sanchez avoids it easily. Dood ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Sanchez drives through and clinches with Dood against the cage.

It looks like Rad Dood has been cut. Dood tries to work over Sanchez's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. A head punch on the inside from Dood fails to land. Sanchez gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Sanchez misses with an elbow over the top. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Sanchez takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. A nice right hand lands inside from Sanchez. A short right hand to the side of the head by Sanchez. Dood working aggressively here.
Dood's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sanchez swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dood stuns Sanchez with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Sanchez is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Sanchez throws a good cross that connects.
Dood throws a big shot that misses. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sanchez waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Dood. Sanchez misses with a straight right. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Dood, as that shot connected.

Dood drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Sanchez defends it well. Dood throws a body shot but no joy. Sanchez thows a left - swing and a miss! Dood is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Sanchez rather than just go for the knockout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Sanchez darts in trying to clinch and Dood counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Dood wants to take a breather but Sanchez is having none of it. Sanchez gets full guard. Dood scoring with punches to the head and body. Dood wants to pass the guard but Sanchez is keeping the position. Sanchez tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sanchez pulls Dood in close to prevent any damage. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Sanchez has his foot on Dood's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dood works his way back into a safe position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sanchez keeping moving, preventing Dood from controlling successfully. Dood walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Sanchez is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dood can do to turn this around? That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Dood is looking to control Sanchez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dood avoid being mounted? Sanchez passes to side control. Dood stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanchez swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sanchez keeping moving, preventing Dood from controlling successfully. Dood drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dood jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dood can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Rad Dood has got the better of the ground game so far. Sanchez avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Sanchez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dood gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Dood throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sanchez works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dood scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Sanchez working for a triangle but Dood defends it easily.

And that's the end of the fight! Steve Sanchez showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sanchez, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
