Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kim Rhee Daebyeol (ranked 1153 p4p, 137 weight class) and Trevor Young (ranked 3197 p4p, 327 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Trevor Young! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Thiago Cunha and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Daebyeol as Young shoots in. Kim Rhee Daebyeol seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Young has a takedown stuffed. Young tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Daebyeol paws at him with a jab and circles away. Young misses with a two punch combination.
Young tries to clinch but Daebyeol moves out of range. Daebyeol shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Daebyeol content to control rather than advance. Daebyeol missing with the ground and pound from half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Young looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Daebyeol thows a huge punch but Young dodges it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Young wants to improve his position but Daebyeol is controlling well.
Daebyeol takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Daebyeol content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Daebyeol passes into side control, despite Young's attempt to control the position.
Young is letting Daebyeol control him for a moment. Young is looking for a sweep. Young can't do much from the bottom here. Young sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Daebyeol is controlling the pace.
Daebyeol is thwarting Young's attempts to control the position. Young has hold of Daebyeol's hands but Daebyeol slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Daebyeol wants to take a breather but Young is having none of it. Daebyeol is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Daebyeol lands strikes from half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Daebyeol is thwarting Young's attempts to control the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Daebyeol working Young over with strikes. Daebyeol is pressing down on Young's thigh, looking to free his foot. Young is holding on for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kim Rhee Daebyeol dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Young tries for a takedown but Daebyeol sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Young fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Young checks a leg kick. Daebyeol scores with the left hand. Young knows he should have avoided that one. The fight stays on the outside here - Young looks like he's thinking about clinching though. No luck for Young with that takedown attempt. Kim Rhee Daebyeol has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trevor Young. Daebyeol rushes Young and presses him up against the cage. Young changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Daebyeol fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Daebyeol looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Kim Rhee Daebyeol overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Daebyeol prevents Young from improving his position. Daebyeol blocks the strikes from Young.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Daebyeol lands a nice short elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Daebyeol lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Young is rocked! Daebyeol takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Young is still in real trouble! Can Daebyeol finish him? Daebyeol looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Young with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Daebyeol is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Young is hurt! He's hurt bad - Daebyeol fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Young from any more punishment! Congratulations to Daebyeol! Great finish!
