The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knowles dives in and grabs Williams's left leg, looking for a takedown. Williams pushes down on Knowles's head and hops out.
Knowles walks into a left hand.
Williams tests Knowles's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Knowles dodges the punch combination from Williams.
Williams lands with an uppercut that bounces Knowles off the cage and back into range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Williams fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Knowles really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...
Williams throws a head kick but Knowles moves out of range.
Williams misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Knowles tries to counter by clinching up but Williams breaks away and moves out of range.

Knowles walks into a jab.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Williams, as that shot connected.
Williams stalks Knowles and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Knowles's face. Knowles staggers backwards, shaken.
Williams misses with the body kick

and Knowles counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Knowles throwing strikes but missing.
Knowles connects with a couple of short punches.
Williams wants to sweep here but Knowles controlling him for the moment.
Williams lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Knowles could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Knowles might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Knowles is pulling down on Williams's head. It's preventing any offense from Williams, at least for the moment.

Williams keeps trying to improve his position.

Williams throws a big right hand that misses.
Knowles manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Williams manages to get himself to full guard.

Williams is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Knowles throws a strike but Williams rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Knowles is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Williams has his hands clasped together but Knowles extends and breaks Williams's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Knowles.
