The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Scarn has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

We've been told by Gilly's head coaches at Bi-Polar Asylum LV's #1 Public Training Center that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Scarn jabs Gilly right on the nose. Gilly blinks but takes it well.

Gilly will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Scarn throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gilly was covering up waiting for the punch and Scarn finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Gilly manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Scarn manages to get himself to full guard.
Scarn is trying to control the position but Gilly postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Scarn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Scarn plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Gilly swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Gilly face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!

After the fight, Michael Scarn was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
