Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ndulu Mpembe (ranked 4054 p4p, 407 weight class) and Tiago Gracie (ranked 24240 p4p, 662 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tiago Gracie! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Eddie Farnsworth and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mpembe decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Mpembe not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Mpembe thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gracie's head. We've been hearing good reports from Mpembe's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Gracie trying to hold on to Mpembe's head to control him but Mpembe postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Mpembe chips away with some ground and pound. Gracie preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Mpembe has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Mpembe trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Mpembe wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving. Gracie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mpembe defends well.

Mpembe is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mpembe gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Mpembe wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mpembe with a flurry of punches that miss. Mpembe postures up and lands a big shot to Gracie's brow. Mpembe avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Gracie pulls Mpembe in close to his closed guard and prevents Mpembe from doing any damage or advancing position. Gracie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mpembe defends it easily. Mpembe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mpembe trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Mpembe landing some decent shots from guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ndulu Mpembe dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Jab by Mpembe. Mpembe throws a left that rocks Gracie and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Mpembe dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Gracie regain composure!
Gracie is rocked! Gracie avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Mpembe. Gracie is still in real trouble! Can Mpembe finish him? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The ground and pound from Mpembe seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Mpembe is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gracie can do to turn this around? We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mpembe looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Gracie is avoiding damage well.
Mpembe throws an elbow but Gracie slips to the side and avoids it well. Mpembe wants to control but Gracie is keeping him busy. Mpembe lands a nice forearm strike. Mpembe is looking to take a break and control but Gracie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Mpembe lands a strong strike to the head of Gracie. That's dazed him! Mpembe looking to finish here. Gracie is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Mpembe lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ndulu Mpembe! After winning the bout, Ndulu Mpembe thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
